Meet the PFA
The Parent-Faculty Association (PFA) is a vibrant partner in the education of children at Corbett Prep. Parents at Corbett Prep are a significant part of the child’s learning experience both in and out of the classroom. The PFA includes all parents of current students and all members of the school's faculty and staff. The organization meets monthly.
Numerous opportunities are available for parents to volunteer in whatever way suits their schedules best. We welcome your help throughout the year to plan and organize events, assist in classroom communications and community building, attend meetings and participate in activities. At the beginning of the school year, we send out a PFA Volunteer Survey to find out the areas that interest our parents and their special skills.
An executive committee of parents oversees the PFA, and they organize standing committees for each year to meet different needs.
PFA's Largest Fundraiser The Big Event
Corbett Prep's annual adult-only "party with a purpose" brings together hundreds of parents, sponsors and faculty members for a celebration each spring that raises money to enhance the student experience.
Thank you to everyone who made our 2024 Big Event '80s Prom such a success!
Last April we raised more than $200,000 at the Big Event Corbett Royale, a casino-themed evening packed with entertainment. The generosity of donors at the 2023 Big Event supported three major projects – technology, a new 56-passenger bus and classroom upgrades.
This year, we are excited for funds raised to go toward campus beautification and a much-needed paved parking lot in overflow parking area. We also will be expanding our technological resources for each age group of students.
We had a blast at the Prom! We appreciate all of our sponsors, volunteers and guests who made it possible!
Big Event Refreshments
We were delighted to have the support of so many local businesses providing food and drink at the 2024 Big Event!
Peacock Classic
We had beautiful weather and a great turnout for our 29th annual golf tournament on Sat., Sept. 23! Plantation Palms Golf Club hosted the Peacock Classic for the second year in a row.
We appreciate all of our golfers, volunteers, sponsors and auction donors who made this such a successful event to support Corbett Prep academics and programs. We also were thrilled to see so many people relaxing and enjoying the community spirit to the PFA Fall Social the night before at Grand Cathedral Cigars!

PFA in the Classroom
Our Classroom Ambassadors help teachers communicate with families, coordinate classroom volunteers and organize events such as holidays celebrations and cookouts.
