Summer Musical Theatre

Corbett Prep is excited to offer its summer musical theatre program to the entire community! This year we will feature high schools students and recent graduates in Bat Boy: The Musical and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Auditions for both shows will take place in early May after students have registered for the productions. Bat Boy rehearsals run from May 25-June 5 with multiple performances June 3-7 in Corbett Prep's Farish Center. Putnam County rehearsals will be throughout June and July in the evenings with performances July 17-19. The exact rehearsal and performance schedule will be determined after casting.
These high school summer productions are part of the Community School of the Arts summer program. During CAMP IDS, we will offer music and drama camps as well as additional musical theatre opportunities for elementary and middle school students – Shrek Jr. (Grades 3-8), The Little Mermaid Jr. (Grades 3-8), Raise Your Voice (Grades 3-8), 101 Dalmatians KIDS (Grades 1-5) and Seussical KIDS (Grades 1-5).

High School Auditions
Bat Boy
Please register for Bat Boy through Corbett Prep's Community School of the Arts and read through and complete this Google form to prepare for auditions. Auditions are necessary for casting, although all students who register will receive parts.
Video auditions are due by Sat., May 2, submitted through the Google form.
In-person auditions take place Mon., May 4 at Corbett Prep. All actors are invited to in-person auditions, where you will learn a dance combo, read from the script and sing "Hold Me, Bat Boy."
Registration: Registration for all shows is available through the Community School of the Arts on Veracross. To create an account for CSA, log in here. You will receive an email with additional instructions to complete your registration.
Putnam County Spelling Bee
Registration for Putnam County will take place after casting. Only students who are offered roles will need to register. Please read through the Google form carefully and respond with your preferences and any conflicts.
Video auditions are due Sat., May 9, submitted through the Google form.
In-person auditions will take place Mon., May 11 at Corbett Prep. All actors are invited to attend and will read from the script and sing for select characters.
High School Schedule
Rehearsals
The directors will determine exact days and times after casting, but Bat Boy rehearsals will take place from May 25-June 5 and Putnam County will occur select evenings in June and July. Putnam County cast members must be available from July 13-19. Please look over the Google forms for each show for additional details about rehearsals.
Performances
Bat Boy will run from June 3-7, and Putnam County will follow from July 17-19 in the Farish Center at Corbett Prep.
Elementary and Middle School
The high school show is a summer theatre opportunity for rising ninth graders through recent graduates. Younger students can sign up for one-week musical theatre through CAMP IDS. Please see the camp brochure for additional information about
