We found new ways to preserve beloved traditions, reimagined how learning could look outside of the classroom and delighted in rare chances to say hello in person. As we say goodbye to our eighth graders and look ahead to new opportunities, we leave you with this positive reminder from our Middle School Thespians.
Fifth graders learned about both biology and current events from a special guest speaker, Dr. Karen Fields – a renowned medical oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center and the mother of fifth-grade teacher Michael Fields.
The seventh grade trip to Wolfcreek pushes students to overcome their fears and learn to rely on one another as they spend a week in the woods with minimal supplies. ABC Action News visited Corbett Prep to capture the excitement when the students returned home.
Zealand Shannon, Class of 2010, has come a long way since he served as the announcer at the IDS Student-Faculty Sports Challenge! Shannon is a professional play-by-play announcer and can be heard on ESPN. Corbett Prep/IDS "puts the environment in place to give kids chances to grow," he says.
