Spanish
Spanish is an integral part of the course of studies at Corbett Prep. All students participate in a differentiated Spanish language course and enjoy cultural experiences through cooperative activities, singing, role playing, games, and technology.
As students move through the program, they become more confident in a second language, increasing their comprehension, enunciation, and proficiency. The Spanish curriculum is enhanced by connections made to the key concepts learned in each grade's curriculum.
Corbett Prep also welcomes a group of students each year from Colegios Ramón y Cajal (CRC) in Madrid. The students, typically in grades 4-8, are matched with Corbett Prep host buddies of the same age for their stay, allowing students to practice their English and Spanish. Middle School students may choose to visit Madrid during Spring Break, stay with CRC students, and tour Spain to learn more about its culture and history.
