PFA Committees & Fundraisers

Families who actively support Corbett Prep are our greatest resource. We are fortunate to have enthusiastic parents who recognize the value of a Corbett Prep education, and we will have many wonderful volunteer opportunities this year. We realize that our parents are very busy in their respective endeavors; however, if you can volunteer at least 1-2 times this school year, this will allow us to do some AMAZING things for our school!

There are two ways to sign up:

  1. Take the Volunteer Interest Survey.
  2. Visit us at

Kids' Golf Classic and Fall Reception

The Corbett Prep Kids' Classic Golf Tournament will be hosted on Monday, Oct. 8 at the exclusive Avila Golf & Country Club.

This event is a critical part of our major fundraising activities within the Corbett Prep PFA. Volunteers are needed in many areas. Ask all of your friends and family to join us for a fun day of golf, all for a great cause!

If you or your company can assist us with raffle donations, volunteering time or signing up a foursome, we would love to have you! Sponsorship opportunities are available to promote your company.

What is the Big Event?

The Big Event is an adult-only night featuring live and silent auctions, dinner, dancing, FUND-raising, FUN-raising and FRIEND-raising!

This year, the Big Event is honoring our school's 50th anniversary by taking it back to the beginning with the theme "The Groovy Gala." This themed event will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the beautiful Armature Works. It is guaranteed to be a fun and thoroughly entertaining night from start to finish!

If you like to meet new people or enjoy planning big parties, this is the committee for you! Whether you would like to help in the year-long planning process or help set up the week of the event, we need you!

Classroom Volunteers- Room Parent Coordinators

Parents at Corbett Prep are given unique opportunities to be involved in their child’s classroom through our Room Parent Coordinator (RPC) program. The RPC’s serve as liaisons between our teachers and parents by coordinating parent involvement in school activities throughout the year. Opportunities will vary depending on grade level but may include:

  • Chaperoning a field trip
  • Coordinating a class celebration
  • Supporting various classroom fundraising activities
  • Coordinating the class contribution to the Golf & Big Events
  • Assisting the teacher with copying, laminating, etc.
  • Communicating with families via email and “Thursday Folders”

Detailed information re: classroom participation will be distributed by your classroom RPC at Back to School Night. RPC positions are also open. Email PFA President Kaly Srinivas, sign up online or fill out the Volunteer Interest Survey.

Athletic Boosters

The Corbett Prep Athletic Boosters' Club supports all athletic programs and promotes school spirit. Involvement in this committee may include coordinating athletic teams, volunteering with special events and concessions, or working with our outstanding coaches. The special projects and events sponsored by the Athletic Boosters' Club help improve our athletic facilities and equipment. Participation at school sporting events from students, parents and faculty is essential to the morale and ultimate success of our Warriors!

The 2018-19 Boosters Club will once again host our Annual Student-Faculty Sports Challenge scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.

The Athletic Boosters Chair position is OPEN!

Fall Festival

Join the Fall Festival team to plan for and host a fun-filled event for all Corbett Prep families on Friday evening, Oct. 26, 2018. This is one of the largest family events of the year. Games and activities make this a memorable time for the entire family. We look forward to the Fall Festival each year and hope that each of you plan to attend this treasured event.

Join us for the evening. Your help makes this event a huge success!

Community Outreach

If you are interested in helping organize ways our families can be involved in the outside community, this is the committee for you. Together, we coordinate our annual Spring of Tampa Bay donation drive, volunteer days at Metropolitan Ministries, and other donation drives. This committee is also excited to hear new ideas and to learn about organizations where Corbett Prep students and parents may become involved.

The committee also works to help support our own community. It markets and communicates PFA meetings and events scheduled throughout the year by posting on Facebook and hanging fliers.

Fine Arts Boosters

The Corbett Prep Fine Arts Boosters support our performing and visual arts programs and promote school spirit. Fine Arts Boosters assist our Fine Arts faculty with school productions such as class plays, Middle School Musical Theatre, Warriors Pride Chorus, and the Spring Art Show. Volunteer tasks include everything from painting sets and sewing costumes to selling flowers and concessions at Fine Arts events. We also flip pancakes for the annual Fine Arts Pancake Breakfast happening this year on Feb. 23, 2019. All Corbett Prep students participate in Fine Arts events, so support from parents and faculty is essential to the morale and ultimate success of our student artists and performers.

Fine Arts Boosters Chair Position Open! Email Micheal LeBlanc.

Potential opportunities may include:

  • Promoting fellowship among dads and further involvement in school activities – basketball league, quarterly meetings (social gatherings), a lunch BBQ at school for kids, etc.
