Grandparents and Grandfriends Day is a cherished tradition that allows Corbett Prep students to pay tribute to the generations through music, dance and classroom visits.
Dr. Susannah Richards sparked a love of literacy in students and teachers alike on Corbett Prep's annual Young Authors Day. As the featured speaker, she spoke to every grade before the backdrop of a cozy bookstore, holding books high and spilling their secrets to capture her audience's attention. Richards is a national leader in English language arts and young adult literature whom Corbett Prep teachers connected with during summer conferences on gifted education.
After studying aquifers in the classroom and testing water quality of the school's Lake Lipsey, Corbett Prep sixth graders visited the Rainbow River to see for themselves the flora and fauna that thrive there. The snorkeling field trip inspires conversations about what humans do to affect the environment and how they can keep the aquifer safe for years to come.
Lorenzo Largent, Class of 2015, continues to combine his talent as a pilot with his passion for helping animals in need as a pilot with the nonprofit organization Pilots N Paws.
