Corbett Prep Named Best Private School for 2020
Corbett Prep Named Best Private School for 2020

With engaging lessons, highly trained teachers and an innovative social-emotional program, Corbett Prep has established itself as an educational leader for PreK3-8th grade. Such strengths along with its passionate community of teachers, parents, students and alumni have helped Corbett Prep win the designation of "Best Private School" for the second year in a row.

Voters in the Tampa Bay Times "Best of the Best" readers' poll showed their support for Corbett Prep in the 2020 contest. Corbett Prep was honored in two categories: Gold (Best Private Elementary/Middle School) and Bronze (Best Preschool).

Corbett Prep was founded in 1968 as Independent Day School by Marilyn Gatlin and Betty Anderson, two educators who believed that happy students who could "play, investigate and be themselves" were more open to learning than students who felt unhappy or fearful at school. Today, Corbett Prep enrolls more than 500 students, offering the International Baccalaureate Programme, a concept-based curriculum, robust arts opportunities and championship sports teams.

The People's Choice Awards spotlight schools, businesses and organizations. All winners will be published on Sunday, Aug. 16 in the Tampa Bay Times.

Thank you to everyone who showed their Corbett Prep spirit by voting!
