The 2020-21 school year at Corbett Prep brings unusual challenges to reimagine how to deliver an engaging education that also protects the safety of students and staff.
Classrooms have been rearranged to create more space for social distancing, schedules have been revamped to limit exposure and outdoor areas were identified for alternative eating and learning spots. New procedures, such as temperature checks and a modified arrival and dismissal process, began on the first day. Numerous handwashing stations and hand sanitizer dispensers throughout campus help students maintain good hygiene.
Technology installed in the classrooms ensures Corbett Prep's remote learners stay as involved as on-campus students. Teachers wear microphones and position themselves in front of multiple iPads on tripods so students at home can see and hear clearly.
Head of School Nicholas Rodriguez takes you on a tour of these changes and more. For more information, read the 2020-21 Back to School Plan, which outlines new procedures and protocols in depth.
