Social-Emotional Learning at Corbett Prep

Corbett Prep uses two research-based wellness programs to strengthen students' emotional intelligence, social connections and their ability to navigate the academic environment. Please follow the link for important information from Wellbeing Specialist Jen Jones and RULER Program Administrator Marla LeBlanc about RULER and the Four Pillars of Wellbeing. All Corbett Prep families have access to wellness resources through the Contentment Families App. Parents should have received an email invitation to the app, which can be downloaded for Apple and Android. If you need the invitation to be sent again or need support getting started with the App, please reach out to Mrs. Jones.

Interested in Volunteering for Golf?

Corbett Prep needs your help at the Peacock Classic on Monday, Sept. 12! We have opportunities for early risers and afternoon volunteers as well as helpers with eagle eyes to spot holes in one at Plantation Palms Golf Club. See available volunteer spots on our SignUp page, and please consider registering for one of the options. Everything you do helps the PFA and Corbett Prep! We welcome anything you can do! Please contact our golf committee if you have questions.

Save the Date: Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our first Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place next month on Oct. 6 and 7. Students will have a half day on Wed., Oct. 5 and then have off on Thursday and Friday so teachers can conduct conferences. Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great opportunity to check in with your child's teachers and learn about their progress, where they might need support and what they will be learning this year. We will share information closer to the dates about how to sign up and reserve your spot!

Embark on a Global Adventure

Corbett Prep students currently in 5th-8th grade are invited to join our study tour of Madrid this summer! This global learning opportunity gives students the chance to build international connections by spending time in Spain. From June 1-12, Corbett Prep students will attend Colegios Ramón y Cajal and engage with Spanish students. They will tour historic sites in the region and work on their language skills as they stay with a local family from our host school. The trip strengthens the relationships we will form with Colegios Ramón y Cajal this year, when several students from the Madrid school visit Corbett Prep from Jan. 7-27. Corbett Prep's trip to Spain costs $3,000 and is all inclusive. And new this year – parents are welcome! Parents who want to attend would pay $2,500, which covers air fare and excursions, and they would make their own hotel arrangements while students remain with host families.

Yearbook Ads

You can now purchase space for an ad in the 2022-23 Corbett Prep Yearbook! Shopping early allows our yearbook staff to reserve the pages we need for the ads. Visit to select the ad size and make your purchase. Click the link to Shop My School and type in "Corbett Preparatory School" to see the options.
