A Moment of Gratitude
These past two weeks have allowed us to live in gratitude as a team. Thank you to our teachers who have stepped up to support one other and fill in where needed even when managing their own responsibilities. And thank you to our families for allowing us to flex and understanding as we make changes to continue to offer a safe and inspiring Corbett Prep education each day. We are so fortunate that we can continue to do our best for kids and work together as #OneCommunity.
School Holiday on Monday
DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. NATIONAL HOLIDAY: On Monday Jan. 17, we join America in celebrating the exemplary legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This holiday is always an excellent opportunity to have family discussions with our children about tolerance, holding tight to dreams that seek to make a difference, cherishing the importance of human rights and valuing the gift of freedom for all.
Re-Enrollment for 2022-23 is Open
Online re-enrollment is open in the Parent Portal for the 2022-23 school year! You should have received an email on Wednesday with instructions, and a special re-enrollment packet is on its way to your home as well.
Please take a few minutes to complete the process and update your family information.
We need families to complete their re-enrollment by Feb. 1 to ensure their child's space for the next school year (New families who have joined us mid-year will receive an extension until March 1). To secure your child's enrollment, you must submit both the signed contract and the re-enrollment deposit by the deadline.
We're excited about the future – our school is an amazing place! If you have questions or need help, please contact Director of Advancement Karen Vaughan.Re-Enroll Today!
Middle School teachers began meeting with families this week to plan for New Horizons Week this spring!
New Horizons is an important Corbett Prep tradition that takes sixth, seventh and eighth graders on overnight trips that encourage teambuilding and challenge students to venture outside their comfort zones. Sixth grade will go to Circle F Dude Ranch Camp for an outdoor education program, seventh grade heads to the Georgia mountains for wilderness backpacking and camping and eighth grade travels to Washington, D.C., to learn about history and government in the nation's capital!
We're so excited to bring back these special trips so our students can experience the personal growth that results and the strong class bonds that form during this time together.
Break a Leg, Troupe 88622!
Let's hear a "Woot Woot" for Middle School Thespian Troupe 88622 as they head to Orlando this week for the state Junior Thespian competition! Students will be competing in several individual and small group events in acting, musical theatre and technical theatre. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to gain experience in competitions, hone their skills in workshops and support each other as a team as they represent Corbett Prep at one of the largest thespian festivals in the world.
