SPRING INTO ATHLETICS

To all 1st-5th grade families,

OUR PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEAM DETERMINED THAT ALL STUDENTS FINISH THE SCHOOL YEAR STRONG AND FIT!

This is another reminder that Corbett Prep students from 1st through 8th grade will be doing the mile run starting next week (Upper Primary = half mile) during scheduled PE and Intramural classes.

Monday, April 22: ½ Mile Run for Cool Cats (1:15 p.m.), Brilliant Bugs (1:45 p.m.), and Mighty Monkeys (2:15 p.m.) during PE class

Mile Run for All Stars and Going Places (Both at 11:30 a..m)

Mile Run for 5th grade during Intramurals (12 p.m.)

Wednesday, April 24: Mile Run for Navigators during PE class (Green: 10 a.m., Purple: 10:45 a.m.)

While 1st Graders look forward to a new experience, 2nd graders will be hoping to beat their 1st grade personal best in the ½ Mile.

Intermediate students aspire to beat their own personal best from the Mile Run Pre-Test they performed in the Fall.

Make sure to have plenty of water starting in early morning and nutritious foods for a successful performance. Please dress appropriately and wear good supportive running shoes.

Our goal is for everyone to feel physically and emotionally prepared and motivated to meet or surpass the National average!

Parents and teachers are welcome to cheer on the runners.

SPRING INTO THE ARTS WHEN THE WARRIORS' PRIDE CHORUS PRESENTS "101 DALMATIANS KIDS"

Broadway returns once again to Orange Grove Drive, with 66 Warriors' Pride Chorus performers. The Fourth and Fifth graders have been working since December on this exciting production. Come join our journey as they present the musical 101 Dalmatians Kids. In a loving home in the city of London, Dalmatian parents Pongo and Perdita happily raise their Dalmatian puppies, until the monstrous Cruella de Vil plots to steal them for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

The show is open to our families, friends and guests for both evening performances. So, mark your calendars:

  1. APRIL 23, 2019: 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. GREEN CAST PERFORMANCES
  2. APRIL 25, 2019: 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. PURPLE CAST PERFORMANCES

THE SPRING OF TAMPA BAY – ANNUAL DONATION DRIVE

APRIL 22 THROUGH MAY 20

Corbett Prep has been a longtime supporter of The Spring of Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County's only certified Domestic Violence Prevention and Emergency Shelter. Since 1977, The Spring has provided sanctuary and services to more than 60,000 adults and their children.

As this has been a school tradition, Corbett Prep families are asked to bring in a donation for Gift Cards or basic items for families who must leave their homes to find a safe refuge and start a new, safer life. Join us as we make their lives a bit easier helping those in need in the Tampa Bay community.

Think of items that would be useful to someone suddenly leaving their home to start a new, safe life!

We will be collecting donations for The Spring of Tampa Bay from April 22 through May 20, and delivering them on May 24. Please see some of the items requested below.

There will be boxes in both the East Side and West Side front offices for donations. Thank you for your generosity!

Please contact Jocie Fletcher or Karin Ladis at jociefletcher@verizon.net or pfaoutreach@corbettprep.com
