We have a lot of reasons for gratitude as we look back on the 2019-20 school year. The beginning of the year started strong with concerts, engaging units of study, field trips, sports and more. But the end of the year finished strong in as well with teachers discovering new ways to build and sustain connections.

Voters in the Tampa Bay Times "Best of the Best" readers' poll showed their support for Corbett Prep in the 2020 contest. Corbett Prep was honored in two categories: Gold (Best Private Elementary/Middle School) and Bronze (Best Preschool).
Corbett Prep art teachers brought the school's annual art show into students' homes. The work displayed in our first Virtual Art Show was curated from classes during the first and second trimesters and reflects students' study of world art in the 2019-20 school year.

Three Corbett Prep Odyssey of the Mind teams placed in the Top 10 in the first Virtual World Finals, making Corbett Prep one of the most decorated OM programs in the world this year. More than 800 international teams competed in the event.
ABC Action News and Bay News 9 spoke to parents and school leaders about Corbett Prep's decision to structure remote school days in the same way as in-classroom instruction. Parents told reporters that the routines gave their children a sense of normalcy and eased the transition into remote instruction. Students look forward to seeing their teachers and friends daily through Zoom.

All of our Board of Trustees, administration, teachers, and staff are forever grateful for the partnership we created to use remote learning to come into your homes for over two months. Connecting with your children from PreK3 through 8th grade was enormously inspiring and quite an amazing accomplishment.
