Camp IDS: Where Everyone Has a Great Time
From sports to arts to academics, Corbett Prep’s Camp IDS is filled with options for students in PreK3 through ninth grade.
March 3, 2014 (TAMPA, Fla.) – Spend the summer making a movie, launching model rockets, investigating a crime scene or overcoming obstacle courses. From sports to arts to academics, Corbett Prep’s Camp IDS is filled with options for students in PreK3 through ninth grade.
A favorite for nearly two decades, Camp IDS offers more than 60 full-day and half-day camps on the beautiful, lakeside campus of Corbett Preparatory School of IDS. Camps are divided into seven weekly sessions from June 16-Aug. 1. Child care is available before and after camps, as is transportation to certain areas.
Camp IDS appeals to a wide variety of interests. Choose from an array of communications and technology camps that include broadcasting, Claymation, aerodynamics, Legos engineering, newspaper and robotics.
Academic camps provide time for students to polish reading and math skills during summer break or delve deeper into areas that interest them, such as geography, science and writing. Students can try out new languages during French, Chinese and Spanish language camps that feature fun, culture-based activities that may involve cooking, music or art.
Visual and performing arts camps let students shine on stage and on canvas. Students can explore art from around the world or pick up techniques from studying master artists. Recyclables or even furniture pieces get new life in other creative camps. And performers will find plenty to like about band, dance, drama, musical theater, movie production and more.
Corbett Prep’s cypress-covered campus is the perfect backdrop for outdoor activities, and Camp IDS sessions deliver. Many campers participate in soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, flag football, golf and archery camps to improve their techniques or try something new. Camp IDS also offers model rocketry, off-campus adventures, wilderness excursions, canoeing and fishing as well as martial arts, matball, silly sports and Warrior games.
